This client in Monroe, CT was experiencing significant runoff issues. Each time it rained, water would rush down their slightly sloped yard and into the road, causing soil erosion and washing away the existing lawn. Without proper drainage solutions, the yard was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.

To address the problem, the homeowner partnered with our landscape design team to install strategic planting beds and a decorative river rock border. This approach was designed to slow down water runoff, support proper drainage, and prevent further erosion—while also enhancing curb appeal.

Once all plants were installed, the beds were fertilized to encourage healthy root development. Finally, a layer of mulch was applied to suppress weeds, reduce rain splash-related diseases, regulate soil temperature, and improve moisture retention—while giving the project a polished, professional look.
